10 Ways Romance Can Be Green Too

Red or pink are usually the colors we associate with romance – but why not go green? Here are ten tips for greening up your romantic intentions.

  1. Give wildflower Seeds instead of flowers - show your love and help pollinators flourish.

2. Go for a hike – exploring nature together is a great way to bond. Just make sure you leave only footprints.

3. Pack a picnic and head to the park – you’re outdoors, eating with a loved one – what could be more perfect?

4. If you’re musical – write a song.

5. If you’re not musical – write a poem. You don’t have to be so hipster as to use a quill but it looks cool and might make an impression.

6. Donate to your romantic partner’s favorite non profit in their name.

7. Set up a date to do some volunteer work together.

8. Give a local gift – maybe something from a vegan bakery in the neighborhood or a fruit basket from a small organic farm.

9. Bake something organic and vegan – by yourself to give as a gift or together as a couple for something fun to do - especially if you’ve never tried it before.
